The choice is yours. Consider these ways to cover overdrafts:

Overdraft Protection services apply to all transactions and may help prevent overdrafts by automatically transferring funds to your checking account from another account you may have at West Union Bank for a fee.

Overdraft Privilege  allows you to overdraw your account up to the disclosed limit for a fee in order to pay a transaction. Even if you have overdraft protection, Overdraft Privilege is still available as secondary coverage if the other protection source is exhausted.

* If you choose Extended Coverage, ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card transactions will be included with the transactions listed under Standard Coverage. If you already have Extended Overdraft Privilege coverage, it is not necessary to request it again. Business accounts automatically have Extended Coverage.

You can discontinue the Overdraft Privilege in its entirety by contacting us at (304) 873-2361 or sending us an e-mail at support@westunionbank.com.

“Accounts will be charged the standard Overdraft fee of $30.00 for handling each overdraft created by check, ACH, Point-of-Sale, ATM withdrawal, in-person withdrawal, or other electronic item that is paid and $30.00 for items returned. An overdrawn balance must be repaid within 32 days. We may not pay items under your Overdraft Privilege if you do not maintain your account in good standing by bringing your account to a positive balance within every thirty-two (32) day period for a minimum of 24 hours, if you default on any loan or other obligation to West Union Bank or if your account is subject to any legal or administrative order or levy.”

West Union Bank may not pay overdrafts for ATM or everyday debit card transactions unless you have given your consent by extending coverage to the payment of these overdrafts.
